I'm new to this type of animated feature but I have seen enough to know what I do or do not like. I watched this after seeing "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1", which was pretty good. This was decent enough but the antagonists are called 'The Elite' and are very diverse and seem an unlikely group of people to ever get together under any circumstance. To be specific, Manchester Black and Menagerie felt like 'B' Movie bad guys even though the other Elite members were far more stereotypical. I know we got a nice back-story about Manchester Black's youth but I never got into The Elite which is important in this type of 'good vs evil' movie. Superman himself was well done and I know George Newbern has loads of experience playing this character which he has made his own. Overall I was entertained and thats all that matters.
